One QR Code vs. a QR Code for Each Table: Which Is Right for You?

Not every QR code on a digital menu does the same job. MegaComanda supports both models, and the difference matters depending on how you serve your restaurant.

General QR code

A single code, the same for the whole place. Ideal if the waiter still takes the order either way, or if your business is pickup or takeout and the QR code is only there for the customer to view the menu.

QR code per table

Each table has its own code. When the customer scans their table's QR code and builds an order, MegaComanda automatically identifies which table it came from and sends it straight to your restaurant's dashboard — with nothing for the customer to type by hand, and nothing for the waiter to ask.

Which one to choose

If you serve at the table and want orders to arrive already identified with no waiter involved, a QR code per table is the option. If your operation is simpler (counter service, takeout, or the waiter still takes the order in person), a general QR code is enough.
